Italian PLUS Sailing  Student will combine Italian Studies with either of the following: - 20 hours Italian lessons - sailing lessons per week - Duration: 4 hours - Clases are held in one unique group The sailing courses The course is held by a passionate and expert skipper in cooperation with Sicily Sailing Experience Company. The boat is in the Catania port, 8 minute walking from the school. Student will cruise into Catania Gulf, Acicastello, and Acitrezza, and will practice on a 34.2 foot Jeanneau sailing boat. The course has multiple goals; naturally, learning to sail and seamanship are major goals, but all courses also aim to increase your independence on the water in a safe environment, to give you increasing levels of responsibility, along with a healthy respect for the environment. The course duration is flexible. Live-aboard Accommodation on the boat is available by request. The basic sailing concepts will be learned through theoretical and practical moments in the same afternoon: It is important to understand the different conditions that can occur during any outing on the sea. For this reason, we have organized theory courses covering maritime weather, wind, navigation and technology.   These lessons are the perfect complement to the practical courses and are available in Italian!  The Sailing Course is held by Sicily Sailing Experience  www.sicilysailingexperience.com  Â
  Fee: € 490 one week course; € 948 two week course  Every afternoon from Monday to Friday  Minimum age: 18 years old - Minimum stay: 2 weeks  Minimum 2, max 8 students per class  Afternoon Activities are held in a unique group  Cost includes 20 hours Italian lessons + 12 hours practice on the boat.                   Â
