We are passionate about travelling, having frequent cultural exchanges and knowing deeper and deeper our culture.
We are competent because some of us have worked for years with enthusiasm in the tourism industry and others have specialized in teaching Italian as foreign language and have got excellent results in this field.
These skills allow us to emphasize the importance of learning a new language through a perfect mix of classes and cultural, relaxing activities.
The wish to promote and spread Italian language, culture and lifestyle all over the world gave us the necessary energy to make real this project.

During his academic studies in economics Daniele spent a whole year in Spain. His passion for travelling and learning new languages started there. After having put all his energies in tourism business he decided to join Federico II because he wish to live in a city full of cultural ferment. He is now our director.

Emilio Sciacca

Emilio is the founder of the school and first director. He is always keen on traveling, exploring the world and learning new languages. After having obtained a PhD in microelectronics, he now teaches in a public school in Catania. Moreover, in the last five years he deals with tourist business. Mixing together the “ingredients” of his passions and work interests he came out with the “recipe”: an Italian language school for foreigners where everybody can experience and enjoy the Sicilian lifestyle.

Angela Falcone

Angela has always had a great passion for learning new languages and meeting new people from all over the world. Her passion increased during her pre and post graduate studies when she had the opportunity to spend several months abroad.
Having worked in the tourist industry, Angela is glad to take part in this project. The management of the Italian school links her interest for international relationships together with her love for Italian language and culture.

Francesca Gulli

Francesca studied Turkish and Arabic at the Oriental Institute in Naples and after getting her degree she began working as teacher of Italian language and culture at the Italian Cultural Center in Ankara, where she taught Italian at different levels and in conversation classes for more than three years.
Her passion for civilizations and humanities also brought her to specialize in cultural studies, extending her education and learning archaeology, art history and anthropology. At Federico II she is the teaching and cultural activities coordinator, organizes museum visits and gives also history and cooking classes.

Daniela Emmi

Daniela got her master degree in "Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language" at Siena University. During her studies she spent several years abroad to improve her English, Spanish and German knowledge. Her passion for languages and different cultures induced Daniela to become a teacher, she actually loves her work and she express her enthusiasm in preparing and doing each lesson. When someone asks her which is her secret and why every student likes her, she always answers: smile, good temper, but also a lot of homework!!!

Ivana wished to be a teacher since she was a child. After a graduation in Foreign Languages and Cultures she specialised in teaching French and Italian as second languages. She is highly motivated to work in multicultural environments encouraging exchanges between different cultures and customs. She likes cinema, music and literature and loves every aspect of Italian and Sicilian culture.
